Your page should not look gaudy, make it minimalist, and provide pictures if you are advertising new products or a sale. Be clear and professional in your email, edit heavily to prevent embarrassing mistakes from slipping through. You should be certain your email covers topics which will interest your target audience. Use headlines to emphasize important points and keep your writing concise. You have a limited window of time to get your point across, so don't waste space with unnecessary text.

Email readers are fickle; they are often harassed by unwanted and unsolicited email, and as such are hard to win over. By taking the time to edit your emails and format them to be attractive, you greatly increase your chances of return hits. The right software is essential for this, but paying attention to little details is even more important. With time, you can develop a successful template and writing style that will make bulk emailing easy, giving you more chances to reconnect with old site visitors.
